Belize Weather for December

December usually arrives wet and leaves drier as the wet season begins to wind down. December temperatures in Belize fall to an average low of 71°F (22°C) with highs of 80°F (27°C) for a monthly average of around 75°F (24°C) – the perfect weather to enjoy a comfortable Christmas holiday, warm enough for swimming and with pleasantly cool evenings.

In Belize the high season for tourists corresponds roughly with the dry season: December to May. The shoulder months – especially December – receive a fair amount of rain, but not enough to scare away the multitudes of travelers who want to spend their holidays in the tropics. Most hotels and resorts are more expensive during this period.

The biggest influx of tourists comes between December 15 and January 15, and during the weeks around Easter.

Prior to certification as a PADI Enriched Air Diver, you must complete a Quick Review, a Practical Application session with one of our instructors at White Sands Dive Shop. The eLearning course will be available for one year from the time of course registration. You will have perpetual access to an online version of the PADI Enriched Air Diver manual. The PADI Enriched Air Diver Course online will take approximately 3 hours to complete. Once you finish the eLearning portion of the course, White Sands Dive Shop is notified that you have completed it and that you are ready for the practical phase of the program. THE GREAT BLUE HOLE

Approximately 45 miles from Ambergris Caye, the almost perfectly circular Blue Hole is more than 1,000 feet (305 meters) across and some 400 feet (123 meters) deep. The hole is the opening to what was a dry cave system during the Ice Age. When the ice melted and the sea level rose, the caves were flooded, creating what is now a magnet for intrepid divers. Today the Blue Hole is famed for its sponges, barracuda, corals, angelfish—and a school of sharks often seen patrolling the hole’s edge.
