PADI’s eLearning option for Advanced SCUBA Diver – to get started immediately. The web-based system lets you learn about seven of the most popular Adventures Dives – including the required Deep and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dives, plus Boat, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist and Wreck Adventure Dives. You study at your own pace through an easy to use, interactive program. You also have access to an online version of the Adventures in Diving manual and can complete sections for other Adventure Dives as directed by your PADI Instructor.
What does it cover?
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course online segment includes knowledge development for the two required topics; the Deep and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dives, along with five of the most popular elective dives. These include Night Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck Diver, Boat Diver and Underwater Naturalist. As with the PADI Open Water Diver course, the entire PADI Adventures in Diving manual (complete with all Adventure Dive possibilities) will be available online to divers enrolled in the course. Please note that if you wish to complete the PADI Enriched Air Diver (nitrox) or Digital Underwater Photographer Adventure Dives then the relationship to the Adventures in Diving program differs slightly. You will need to complete the knowledge development for those two programs separately, either through the PADI Enriched Air Online or Digital Underwater Photography Online programs. Experience real adventure and be one step closer to Master Scuba Diver - the ultimate non-professional certification in recreational diving.

What are the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course prerequisites?
You need to be at least 12 years old, a certified entry-level diver and fit for diving to be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver. Any certified entry-level diver who is at least 12 years old may enroll in the PADI eLearning Advanced Open Water Diver online program.

How does it work?
After enrolling, PADI's eLearning® system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace.

What else is required to complete the course?
Prior to certification as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, you must successfully complete at least five Adventure Dives. Two of these are mandatory; the Deep Adventure Dive and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive. The other three dives that you complete can be chosen from a wide range of Adventure Dives and the decision as to which dives you complete will be based on what is available at your dive location and what your PADI Instructor is able to offer.
What does it cost?
The PADI Advanced Open Water Course online cost approximately $130.usd the price varies a little depending on what country you live in. The fee covers the knowledge development training as well as unlimited access to the entire PADI Adventures in Diving manual online. Your PADI Dive Center or Resort will charge an additional fee for the inwater portion of your certification. The training dives portion includes 5 dives at our popular dive sites, all the equipment necessary to conduct those dives and cost $460. usd. and can be done in a little as two days. The new government regulations on diving the Blue Hole are designed to prevent divers visiting that are not prepared and what we require is that they do a day of diving on our Barrier Reef allowing them to refresh their skills and check out equipment before the Blue Hole dive of 130 feet. Our morning trip on the Barrier Reef departs at 9:am and returns at 12:30ish. We require divers to be at the dive shop at 8:00 in order to prepare for that 9 am departure.

The Blue Hole is a large submarine sinkhole that is 412 feet deep and 1,000 feet wide. It is located forty-three (43) miles from the mainland. The crystal-clear water allows you to see stalactites, stalagmites and sharks among other aquatic life.
Recreational Scuba Diving tours to the “Blue Hole” require special skill sets because of its unique environment; therefore, divers are required to be screened for eligibility to perform the recreational scuba diving tour. Based on the information provided, it is left to the discretion of the Scuba Diving Tour Operator to proceed with the Recreational Scuba Diving Tour or additional training prior to the same.
